250kWp commercial solar PV paired with 500kWh battery storage to unlock on-site generation where a conventional grid upgrade route would have added major cost.
Yayla needed a solar business case that worked around grid constraints rather than waiting for a costly reinforcement route. Wire Now developed a battery-backed commercial solar approach: 250kWp of PV paired with 500kWh of storage so more generation could be used behind the meter and exported only within the available connection envelope. The key commercial result was avoiding a £1.5m DNO upgrade cost. The project is a clear example of how battery storage, export limitation and electrical-led design can turn a refused or heavily constrained connection into a workable commercial solar scheme.
